Description

DUNDAS-JAFINE's ProShield™ exhaust hood features a round design that is unique to the market. The innovative spring loaded damper system offers complete noise control with no flapping louvers or dampers in harsh weather conditions. Pests will also no longer be an issue as the damper system prohibits pests or rodents from entering the vent. The center shield of the cap can also be removed for easy cleaning of lint and debris in the duct. When the appliance is turned on, the air forces the damper open allowing the air to exhaust. When the appliance is turned off, the damper is pulled to a secure, closed position. Additional features include a molded caulk edge that helps to maintain a clean caulking application during installation and a snap on pipe to cap assembly that eliminates the need for lint trapping staples. This ProShield™ product has a UV-resistant coating to prevent the cap from discoloring and is paintable to match the exterior of your home. It can also be used in conjunction with brick, concrete or siding.
